Apuckalips, a collaboration between Suzanne Shanklin and Stephanie Brown, is an accessory design company based out of Minneapolis Minnesota. Suzanne is a sculpture, curator, and jewelry designer and Stephanie is a costume designer, textile and fiber artist.  They found each other while sharing a booth at a local block party. When Steph saw Suzie’s French Fry Ketchup earring and Suzie laid her eyes upon Steph’s felted Cigarette and Lighter earrings, sparks flew. They knew it was a collaborative pair made in some form of the afterlife.

The name of the company came to the two women while watching an ex-boyfriend’s now deemed “talentless” band. They wanted to play on their cheeky sense of aesthetic, their often dark sense of humor, and their love of re-purposing discarded and devalued objects. Hence, Apuckalips, the accessories that are made from the end of the world.
